Yep, today is Diwali - The festival of lights! I love this festival a lot. Used to celebrate Diwali in grand style in Delhi, with all the cousins, uncles, aunties gathering at our place. Used to be real fun.
But, here in Kuwait it's not like Delhi. But, I do my best. This time Pradeep will be there in the evening. Normally, he always has work. But since he changed his job last year, he will be at home this year. We have put lights in the house. And, boy was Niyati excited! She was prancing around the house, and whoever visited us y'day, she was happily telling - We put lights!
Yep, few friends visited yday, and few will visit today.
Dishes which I am making today - Puri, Jeera Rice, Matter Paneer, Aloo Gobhi, Chole, Raita, Gulab Jamun, Kheer(can't do without Kheer. Niyati loves it!). She really has a sweet tooth, like me! Loves all sweet things.
We will have a Laxmi Pooja in the evening at home!
AND, our yatch trip to Failaka Island confirmed on Monday! Yday, we went to see the yatch with few of our close friends. It's absolutely worth it! Can't wait till Monday! For my Kuwait friends, here is the web address where you can rent a yatch- www.silsan.net.
S, Happy Diwali!
