The year 2006

There has been no blogging for the past few days. But here I am back again! New Year didn't start very well for us!LOL. N was very sick with a throat infection. She had to be given antibiotics. And I was down with an eye infection. Yday, didn't even report for work. Now things are getting better...What a way to start the New Year..LOL!!
As for 2006, it was a good year for us. DH had changed his job end of 2005. And it's going well. Yeah, atleast now he has lots of time for us. We go for work and come back together. Evenings we spend at home. Yeah, I am loving every moment of it.....In other news, we bought our own house in Kerala. (Hey, I didn't post pics of it, did I....Very soon). Niyati has started school. That is in itself a big thing. Can't believe how fast time flies....She is 41/2 now!! Boy, she is very independent now...My little princess is growing up fast....
We went for vacation in 2006, mainly for doing the house warming ceremony of our home. And in the process, met all our relatives, some of whom I had not seen for years.....LOL!
In Kuwait, made new friendships. So now we are like having quite a number of friends (and quite a number of get together's and outings). It's great now that DH has time. Otherwise with his earlier job, we were never able to enjoy fully.
In India, after a checkup it was learnt that I had some inflammation between the 3rd & 4 th spinal cord. That's why I used to have very bad back aches!! I took Ayurvedic treatment for it. And I think I am cured...No back pain for the last 3 months or so....Gosh!! What a relief....Otherwise no major illness for anybody....
We also did some redecoration towards the end of 2006, something which was really long overdue...Redecoration will continue this year also... And I also started blogging..Hope to continue doing so....
On the downslide, my dad developed diabetes. It's not high. Can be controlled by diet control. Right now, he is also suffering from chest infection. But, he is responding to medicines and is better now. Nothing serious. On the brighter side, my brother got a big promotion at work. So, everything is going real well....
Hoping that 2007 will be another good year!!
